Riverfront Residences is a new launch condominium that is located along Hougang Avenue 7. This  mega development is located in a mature housing estate. Location

Several primary and secondary schools – Chij Our Lady Of The Nativity, Holy Innocents’ Primary, Punggol Primary Holy Innocents’ High, Serangoon Secondary and North Vista Secondary – are within easy walking distance, as are The Midpoint, Eastpoint and Hougang malls.

 

Transport Links

The nearest MRT, about a ten to fifteen minute walk away, is Hougang on the North East Line, where there is also a bus interchange. The Hougang Central Integrated Transport Hub is scheduled to open its doors in 2023, which will be a further boost to transport in the area. Serangoon Park Connector runs along in front of the development, leading to Punggol and Serangoon Island.

Bus route 112 stops right outside the site, with several more only a short walk away. Both the KPE and TPE are easily accessible from the site, from which it is a short drive to Changi.

 

Shopping and Dining options

 

The Midtown mall is just 6 -7 minutes walk away while Hougang mall and Eastpoint mall are also just a short bus ride away. Slightly 1 to 2 MRT station away, there is the Heartland mall at Kovan MRT station, NEX shopping mall at Serangoon and Compass One Shopping mall at Sengkang MRT Station.

 

Some brief history of Riverfront Residences – Rio Casa

 

Rio Casa, another in a lengthening list of collective sales went through second quarter of 2017, paving way for a new residential development on the Hougang Avenue 7 site. Originally built by the HUDC in the 1980’s, it was privatised in 2014, before being bought by new owner Oxley-Lian Beng Venture Pte Ltd, who paid an additional sum to increase the lease back to 99 years.

 

Previously, Rio Casa is home to seven blocks, comprising of 286 apartments and maisonettes, and covers 396,231 square feet (36,811.1 square metres).
